The trailer for the second movie of director Prithviraj Sukumaran, Bro Daddy, was released on Thursday, January 06. The trailer promises a happy family drama. Bro Daddy has Prithviraj, Kalyani, Mohanlal, Meena, Priyadarshan, Lalu Alex and Kaniha in the Primitive roles. Among the actors are actors Murali Gopy and Soubin.

The trailer portrays John Kattadi (Mohanlal) and Annamma (Meena) as lovers and Eesho (Prithviraj Sukumaran) as their son. Eesho (Prithviraj Sukumaran) fell in love with Anna (Kalyani Priyadarshan), daughter of Elsy Kurian (Kaniha) and Kurian (Lalu Alex) . In a caption book, presented earlier, the designers revealed that Kurian and Annamma attended the same college and the first one had feelings for Annamma.

Prithviraj Sukumaran’s mother and actress Mallika Sukumaran have also locked for a happy cameo role. In September 2021, Prithviraj Sukumaran announced the same with a video from Bro Daddy’s sets, in which he directed Mohanlal and his mother Mallika for several episodes. “Once you direct the all-time leading actress and the biggest mom in the same frame! (sic), ”he wrote on social media.

Bro Daddy is scheduled to shown at the Disney Plus Hotstar broadcast on January 26, 2022.

Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, the technical team includes Deepak Dev as a composer, Abhinandan Ramanujam as a cinematographer, Akhilesh Mohan as an editor and Gokul Das is also part of the group as an artistic director.

Bro Daddy’s producers completed the filming in September 2021. The film came under fire after the band began production outside Kerala due to the country’s closure. However, the Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) has issued a statement to Prime Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Urging the government to allow the films to re-film in the province because of the impact it has on the lives of daily paid Malayalam filmmakers.

Notably, actor Mohanlal also starred in Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Directorial debut Lucifer. Prithviraj also appeared briefly in the 2019 film. Interestingly, Prithviraj will play a key role in Barroz, marking Mohanlal’s directorial debut. Previews of the film has released earlier last month and it is likely that the film will play a major role this year.
